I embarked on my journey from Nepal to the UAE in 2005 amidst the civil unrest in my home country. Arriving as a visitor with uncertainty but also with hope, I started my new chapter in my 20s, not knowing what the future held. Fortunately, I found my first opportunity as an F&B server in a 5-star hotel, which marked the beginning of my career in the hospitality industry.

Overcoming challenges early on, I faced language barriers, speaking only broken English and Hindi. However, with persistence and support from my colleagues, I improved my communication skills, which opened doors to further opportunities within the same hotel. I transitioned to a concierge agent role, connecting with people from around the world, which deepened my understanding of the tourism industry’s impact on the UAE’s growth.

In 2010, I advanced my career by joining a leading destination management company, where I thrived until the COVID-19 pandemic hit. The tourism sector was severely affected, and I, too, lost my job. However, I didn’t give up. With the support of my wife, I ventured into the real estate business, dedicating 9-12 months to learning the ins and outs of the industry. By late 2020, I found my true passion as a real estate professional.

I continue to embrace growth and new opportunities, always thinking outside the box. Unlike some who remain in the same role for years, I consistently seek personal and professional development. I also completed a Master’s in Tourism and Hospitality, which further enhanced my skills and knowledge.

My advice to aspiring individuals coming to the UAE is to prepare yourself before arriving. Identify your goals, understand the industry you wish to enter, and set clear expectations. Don’t just come and wait for opportunities to find you—be proactive.

I’m currently thriving as a real estate advisor, helping investors navigate the market and achieve their goals. It’s not just a job; it’s a passion I truly love. I am committed to continuing this journey, helping clients and investors, and embracing every challenge with enthusiasm.

The UAE has given me countless opportunities, and I remain grateful for the chance to grow, both professionally and personally, in this vibrant country.
